-CHILD CARE

We build strong kids, strong families, and strong communities.

The Before and After School Child Care Program is offered by the YMCA and is available for children who need care before school and/or after school. Children may attend before school from 6:30 a.m. until school starts and from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m.

Mission Statement
The YMCA of Southwestern Indiana, Inc., following the example of Jesus Christ, responds to community needs by serving all people, especially youth, through programs that promote healthy spirit, mind and body.

Philosophy And Goals
The YMCA Child Care Program provides safe, inexpensive, quality child care for youngsters during the hours when there is no adult supervision in the home. Children will have the opportunity to engage in activities which will benefit them emotionally, physically, and educationally. The program is conducted and planned by staff trained to meet the needs of children and to provide positive adult role models. There will be enough flexibility to accommodate children from different age groups and, at the same time, fulfill the special needs of individuals. The program will be designed to supplement and support the child's experiences at home and school.
