Scholastic Book Fair 2006
Mark your calendars now, so you won't miss our annual Scholastic Book Fair. The dates are October 30 to November 3 from 8:30a.m. to 2:45p.m. A special Family Event is planned for Wednesday, November 1 from 5:30p.m. to 8:00p.m., which you won't want to miss!
We are pleased to bring you this Book Fair, because it gives you and your children the opportunity to buy carefully selected, quality books and products at affordable prices. You'll enjoy the excitement and atmosphere! Plus. proceeds from this event will benefit our school library and classroom libraries.
At the Book Fair, you can also help your child's classroom increase its library with the Classroom Wish List program. The titles are hand picked by each teacher as desired library selections for their classrooms. Simply choose a book on your child's teacher's wish list. A volunteer will process your purchase, personalize the bookplate provided, and see that your book gets to your child's classroom library.Last year, we had a record-breaking year and helped resupply the library at Central Elementary School in Gulfport, MS after it was destroyed by Hurricane Katrina. This year we are taking our proceeds in cash so we can help raise money to put a new computer in every classroom. We've set a goal of earning $3,000 this year. Teachers still will have Wish Lists and we have book credits from Scholastic that we will be dividing among our teachers to get books for their classrooms.
