A Message from the Committee Chair:

ROOM PARENTS

Thank you for volunteering your time to be a room parent. The children look forward to and really appreciate the parties.

As a Head Room Parent you are responsible for getting the room parents from your class together. You can do this by phone or by a meeting to plan the party. You will need to speak to the teacher before making any plans. Some may have guidelines they would like you to follow. They will also be able to let you know of students with special dietary needs. The Head Room Parent is the contact person for the teachers.

Room Parent Helpers are willing to help plan and are able to attend and help with the parties.

Party Helpers are parents who are unable to attend parties but are willing to provide needed items.

Head Room Parents, when planning your parties make sure you contact everyone on your list. Room Parent Helpers and Parent Helpers, if you are not contacted the month before the party, please contact you Head Room Parent.

This year in order to receive the $1.00 per child from the PTO you will need to turn in your receipts. We have found in past years that most parents are donating the items and saving the money for a year end party or giving it to the teacher to spend on things needed in the classroom. The PTO is planning to sponsor a school wide party the last day of school. We are still early in the planning stage so if you have any suggestions please call me. The money not used for the fall and spring parties will be used for the last day of school party.

The dates for the parties are:
October 16 1:30-2:30 (A.M. Kindergarten 9:45-10:45)
February 12 1:30-2:30 (A.M. Kindergarten 9:45-10:45)

The October 16th party is a fall party not a Halloween party. Make sure you keep this in mind when making plans. We do not want to offend anyone.

Thank you for your time and for helping out with the parties. This is going to be a great year. If you have any question please contact the chairperson.
