| President Jamie Madeline called the meeting to order at 9:04 a.m. She asked for 4 volunteers to help with the spring pictures that will be taken on April 14. The School Kidz supply kit order forms will be going home April 22. They are due back May 8. Pick up day will be August 3. She asked everyone to please include their e-mail so we will have to send any messages over the summer about the kits.
Minutes:
The March minutes were emailed and passed out by Carol Mesker. Michelle Standridge moved to accept the minutes as presented; Kathi Wilson seconded; motion approved.
Treasurer’s report:
Dawn provided a financial statement (attached). Deb Titzer moved to accept the treasurer’s report as presented; Shannon Backer seconded: motion approved.
VP of Funded programs-
Bonnie Ciuffetelli did not have a report.
VP of School Activities-
Michele Brookman did not have a report.
VP of Special Events-

Principal’s report:
Mrs. Pryor said the next AR party theme will be a jungle theme. They will have a coconut toss, animal crackers for snack and other related games. The last AR party will be May 22 and the theme will be Rock the Castle. They are still looking for a DJ. The last ISTEP testing will be April 22-May 6. The format will be multiple choice. The Special Education track meet will be held at JH Castle on May 7.
Committee Reports :
- Birthday Book Club- Jennifer Potter sent out the last invitation of the year. If you did not get one please contact her.
- Community Donations- See Family Carnival report.
- Community Service- No report.
- Family Carnival- Jamie gave a summary of the planning for the carnival. Ticket info has been sent out. Basket flyers have been sent out. They will assemble baskets on April 14 &15 at 1:15. Any one who can help can show up at that time. Jamie will check to see if cake walk info has been sent out to the Kindergarten parents. We will be selling half pot tickets. They will be $1 for 1 ticket or $5 for 6 tickets. We will also have a photo shoot. Price will be $1 per copy. We need volunteers for both of these. Susan Randell has taken care of the food. We will also be selling cotton candy and baked goods. Contact Lee Ann if you would like to bake something. We have 1 desk and 4 director’s chairs that are being decorated for the auction. We will also auction the parking space, 4 hallways and reserved seating for awards day. Games and inflatables will be outside if possible. We will have tattoos, hair painting and nail decorating. Amy Pollard has been working on donations. She has gotten the following items Fired Up pottery, Metro Sports, Curves, a painter to paint 1 room in your home, Brinker’s, Master Jewelers, Victoria National, Rolling Hills, Tri State Athletic Club, Season Passes to Holiday World, and a few other smaller items. The students will have spirit week the week of the carnival and those participating may win a free dessert.
- Field Day- Amy Pollard would like help organizing the volunteers.
- Fund Raising-Shannon Backer presented the second piece of playground equipment we would like to purchase. It is a fitness type of piece. The company quoted us a price of $15,000 including delivery and installation. There are some reservations about the cost and type of equipment. Jamie and Shannon will try to meet with the teachers to get their thoughts. Dawn said we have the money in the budget but we could wait to see what we make from carnival. Jamie will meet with Mrs. Scales to see what the plan is for the playground and then with the teachers with the hopes of voting on a piece next month.
- Hospitality- Tiffany has Dare volunteers lined up. She will be working on teacher appreciation next. The dates are May 4-8.
- Market Day-Michelle said pick up is Thursday.
- Popcorn-They will begin selling flavor ice.
- Publications-The newsletter for this month is already finished.
- Special Rewards-Kathi Wilson said to be sure to register on the box top website.
- Spirit Wear- Carol Mesker said t-shirts will be for sale at the carnival.
- Student Incentives/AR parties-No report.
- 6 th Grade Events- Jamie said the games have been decided and lunch will be pizza from Pizza Chef.
Old Business
Carol announced the slate for 2009-2010: President, Bonnie Ciuffetelli; VP Funded Programs, Kathi Wilson; VP of School Activities, Michele Brookman; VP of Special Events, Deb Titzer; Secretary, Carol Mesker; Treasurer, Dawn Bratton. The election will be held at the next meeting. We are also looking for Chairpersons for the following committees: Community donations, Family Carnival and Market Day.
