FROM MRS. SCALES AND MRS. PRYOR

We would like to thank you for a wonderful start to the school year. We welcome our new families, especially those beginning Kindergarten for the first time. We have added an additional first grade teacher, and our enrollment is now approximately 880 students.

Our students at JHC are working hard and have settled into a routine. We would like to remind you of some routines which help JHC offer your child the quality education and safety they deserve.

DROP OFF AND PICK UP

We would like to remind you that cars should not be in the front bus lane. The back parking lot is set aside for those parents wishing to transport their students to and from school. Students may be dropped off at the curb no earlier than 7:45 in the morning. Parents may also park and walk their children to the back door. In the afternoon, parents must park and meet their children at the back door. Students should not walk across the parking lot unescorted. If you are taking your child out of school before dismissal, you must sign them out in the office. Please remember to sign your student in if you return before the end of the school day.

SECURITY

All visitors are asked to sign in at the front desk in the office. You must have a visitor’s badge while you are in the building. We now have an automated sign-in system in place. Parents are welcome in the building any time. Please remember to call the school before 9:00 A.M. if your child will not be in attendance.
